Big Day!!
Today Larry watched Susanna since our daycare was off. They had a great time. Susanna would not stop for nothing. GO GO GO all day long. Since Larry is a little under the weather he would have liked to snuggle and take a nap with Susie but she had other plans. When I came home she was still wound up. About 6pm I found her at the table and I thought she was watching cartoons but then I got a closer look. ASLEEP!!!!!

And the Winners Are...
And yes my Memorial Day Sunday is usually filled with racing as the Coca Cola 600 is tonight for the Cup boys. I have also gotten things done than just sitting in front of the TV. I dug up all the dandelions in the yard (alot), cleaned out my flower beds of leaves and crap left from last year, dishes and laundry. And I am doing all of this with my new iPod on, yes, I finally got some songs on it.
God Bless all the troops here and abroad for their service on this Memorial Day.

Nothing Much
It has been so nice out that last night Susanna and I picked up sticks in the front yard while Larry mowed the back. From all the wind we have had in the last few weeks there were a lot of sticks. We did a lot of work outside last night and then Larry and I watched National Treasure: Book of Secrets. It was good but I think the first one was A LOT BETTER. It was nice to see Mount Rushmore in the movie too.
Tonight Susanna, Sadie and I played outside and took some video to share.

Oh my goodness, I just got done watching the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. I am so excited about Derek and Meredith. But I really did not like the end when he left but it was awesome what she did with the lights for the floor plan. And oh my, Callie and Erica. We will have to wait until next season.

Catching Up
This weekend, me, my mom and Susanna went to Nebraska to visit friends of my mom's. It was a fun time with shopping, relaxing and visiting. My mom's friend has a llama and alpaca ranch. Susanna was so excited to see them. She wanted to feed them, pet them and ride them. Saturday morning we feed the animals and Sunday Susanna walked two of the llamas and sat on one for a brief second or two. The llama was not sure about that. But they were all very gentle and calm. Susanna's favorite was Peanut Butter Crunch. Susanna also made another friend in Sophie the dog. They played together all weekend.

On Saturday Susanna got her second hair cut ever. She sat really good. She also got two french braids put in. She is calling it her new hair. I also got my hair cut. Those of you that have seen me know that it is REALLY short. I am slowly getting used to it and trying to figure out how to style it.
I had mentioned in an earlier post that I am starting to scrapbook. Well I got a jump start on supplies while we went shopping. Susanna also got her first Dale Jr t-shirt. It is a little big for her as it comes down to her knees but she loves it, she even wore it to daycare today.
My mom had a good time visiting with her friends and relaxing. Thanks Dee for having us and being a wonderful hostess. We might come back sooner than you think.
Larry went to Wauby fishing with Kester and Lucas this weekend. They all had a wonderful time catching fish. Apparently they caught a ton of fish. I don't have pictures of this since all they had were cell phone cameras.
Well it is back to grid this week. Need to get caught up on house stuff and yard work. Here are some pictures from this weekend.

This and That!!
I was so thrilled today that it was not raining again. Don't get me wrong I love rainy days but in July not May so it makes it feel like October. Well Monday night Larry and I finally took our Christmas lights down that were hanging on the house. I know it was about time. I finished priming the clothes doors for the basement bathroom, more on that in another post. Tuesday night, Susanna, Larry and I went to the Stadium to eat supper. The service was good and the food was good but I thought the bill was a little high for it all. Oh well, what are you going to do. That night was also Larry's first night for his trap shooting league. He didn't want me to post this but oh well. He shot a 24/25 and 19/25. I think that is pretty good for not doing it since last summer.
Susanna is having her coughing fits again. So I called the doctor and he gave her an oral steriod again. It seems to be helping along with her nebs and inhaler. And she is just finishing up with her eye drops from having pink eye (I think). This is a lot of stuff to remember each morning and night. If I forgot something you can bet she will remind me. She is suppose to see a peds GI doctor in August but I might have to push that up to see if something there is causing her coughing.
I am still figuring out my new iPod and have recently gotten into scrapbooking. Will let you know how those adventure go in the future.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!
Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!
As most of you know I am a BIG NASCAR and Dale Jr fan. And oh how I can't stand Kyle Busch. First he crashes Jr last week (yes I believe is was somewhat on purpose) and then takes second but then he wins this weekend at Darlington. Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!? I really do not like that man. He is so cocky too, he drives me up the wall.

Susanna's Preschool Program
Thursday, May 8th was Susanna's preschool program. She looked so cute in her clown hat and bowtie. She really did not sing a lot but she knew most of the actions. Some of the other kids were really yelling the songs. And yes, that is her yawning in the video. Larry and I are just so proud of our little girl. She is the one with the pink striped shirt with tan pants and pink croc shoes.
On another note, four years ago today we brought Susanna home from the hospital after her four month stay at the NICU at Sanford Hospital.

Too Early??
Last night Larry and I planted our garden. We have planted a garden each year since we have lived in this house, 6 years. Gosh has it been that long. In a couple months we will be married 8 years. Where does the time go. Anyway, back to the garden. Our neighbor told us that she thought the ground might not be warm enough to plant, well we did it anyway. We planted 12 tomato plants, 8 pepper plants (2 different kinds), a row of red onions, two rows of carrots, one row of green onions (from the neighbor) and four broccoli plants. We have never had good luck with the broccoli but we still try each year.
I know some of you are probably wondering what I am going to do with all this stuff. Well I take the tomatoes, onions, and green peppers along with other ingredidents and make spaughetti sauce that I then can. The rest of the peppers will be chopped up and frozen for later use. This is the first year for the red and green onions so I am not sure what I will do with them. I blanch and freeze the carrots to use at a later date usually with roasts in the slow cooker or just steam them. If the broccoli turns out then we usually blanch and freeze that too. We have a vacuum sealer that works great for this. Lets hope for a growing garden this summer.
