Susanna and I cleaned her and Addison's room tonight. It took all night, it was a MESS!! Addison was the supervisor in her crib watching over us. She did take a nap but otherwise was a real slave driver otherwise. LOL!! The girls were under the weather this weekend but are good now. Susanna has dance class on Mondays and their first recital is Jaunary 9th. Should be really interesting.

NEWS FLASH

Susanna lost another tooth!!

Her and daddy were playing and out it came. She had been pushing on it with her tougue since the other one came out. I can't believe that it is Sunday night already. I just placed an order for our Christmas cards. I guess now I need to write the letter. I guess that is what I can do tonight while watching the Vikings game.

In case anyone was eager to find out what I did yesterday, I didn't do either. I played around on the computer and tried to design a Christmas card while Susanna watched cartoons. Then I did start to watch a movie.

I did get up and go to church this morning. I had to, I was the lead for the refreshment table. Anyway, good day and I have energy now. I think I will try and bake, bake, bake today and clean. I got a new washer last week too. It is really cool. It is a front loading one. I can do two loads in one. AWESOME!!!!

Santa Claus

Susanna and Addison saw Santa today at Lewis. They even sat on his lap. That is a first for Susanna. When I get the picture I will post it. Santa also had two of his reindeer there. Susanna thought they were really neat!

Susanna went to her first birthday party at the Community Center. They went swimming and played games and ate pizza. She had a lot of fun.

Addison stayed home with daddy and I finished the Christmas shopping.

Now on to cleaning the house or watching a movie. I wonder which one I will choose!!!

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! We did at the Voss house. Addison got to sit in a highchair for the first time, she ate a biter biscuit for the first time, and sat in the grocery cart for the first time. She also turned 7 months on the 25th of November. She has gotten so big.

Well it is official, Susanna is a big girl. She lost her first tooth today at school. Not sure how it happened but it was at lunch. The school gave her a tiny treasure chest to put it in. We put it on the mantle of her bed for the tooth fairy tonight. She is so excited. Her other front tooth is about ready to come out too. The tooth fairy beware.

Long Overdue Update

I have been getting heck from quite a few people that I have not updated this blog. The time has just flown by. I thought I would have time during my maternity leave but that did no turn out either. Oh well. Addison is now 9 weeks old. She will have her two month check up this Tuesday the 30th of June. I am going to guess that she weights about 13-14 pounds. I will let you know. She has been smiling a lot more and making noises. When she was 6 weeks old she started sleeping through the night. She is a very good baby. Susanna was the same way when she was a baby. Most of you know that Susanna was born early and she was isolated for a year at home. With Addison we go out to eat, to the store, to grandparents, etc. It is really different, but really nice. Susanna loves her little sister. She loves to hold her and feed her. She is very helpful with anything that concerns Addison. On other items, the jury is still out on that one.

In May a couple of my friends put on a baby shower for Addison. This was new too as I did not have any baby showers with Susanna. Thanks Tracy and Steph, it was wonderful. Addison got a lot of cute outfits and dresses. Those are items that we really did not have many of since Susanna was at home for the first year I usually just had her in a sleeper.

I am proud to introduce you all to Addison Lyn Voss who was born on April 25th, at 6:40pm. Weighting in at 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. Enjoy the pictures!!!

37 Weeks

I had a doctor appointment last Wednesday. It was pretty uneventful. I was still at 2 cm and 70% effaced. Not much change. I guess I was expecting too much. To top off my week I got strep throat on Tuesday and Larry got it on Wednesday. This has not been a good week for the Voss family. So far Susanna has not gotten it.

Susanna is super excited for Easter. They had an Easter party at preschool on Wednesday and another Easter party at daycare on Thursday. Friday Susanna did not have daycare and I had the whole day off. My mom is coming for the weekend.

I am writing this at 3am. I can't sleep that well. It is like I get 1 1/2 hours of sleep and then I am ready to go. My legs are restless and I get short of breath. All signs of pregnancy I know.

My Cleaning Girl

One day Susanna comes to me and says that the toilet is dirty and that she wants to clean it. I am like ok. I get the toilet wand and get it ready and she cleans the toilet. Mind you this is the last time she asked to clean it. I am hoping that she will be my little cleaner. She is in to wiping the bathroom mirror right now. This is how it goes, my grandma, Susanna, was a cleaner, her daughter, my mom, is an ok cleaner, and then there is me, I am no cleaner. So I am hoping that since she is named after her great-grandmother, the cleaner, that she will be too.

I got a new Sweeper that works really good on the vinyl flooring. Susanna loves to use it and clean the floor.

End of March Update

Today Susanna and I headed to Sioux Falls for many appointments. She had a video swallow test at 9:30am which she did really good at. Then we had to see the doctor about that and he signed off on her so we do not have to see him again or have another swallow test done. Then we saw her lung doctor. He thought she was still doing good and will keep her on the same meds she is on, Flovent. All this was in the NEW Sanford Children's Hospital or the "Castle". Susanna thought it was pretty cool. Then in the afternoon after a quick lunch she had her 5 year check up and shots for kindergarten in the fall. She did very well on the tests and the doctor was quite impressed since she was such a small preemie. She did get four shots and did not like them at all.

Then it was my turn. I had an OB appointment with Dr. Boyle. I have been having a lot of pain and severe discomfort in my lower abdomen. They checked and I am 2cm dilated and 60% effaced. Her head is also way down by the cervix. My next appt is a week from Wednesday, we shall see where I am at then.

Now we are all just waiting for the blizzard to come tonight. YEAH!!! NOT!!!

Rides

I know this is an old topic but the pictures and video are too good not to share anyway. Last year I took Susanna to the state fair and she got to ride the rides for the first time. Another daycare child met us there so they would each have someone to ride with. Susanna and Taylor had so much fun. I think we rode for about 2 hours. Susanna was beat, she fell asleep before we made it to the van, thank goodness for the stroller. WARNING: Lots of Pictures!!!
